 We continue with sgraffito: We can draw  a  ghost, a bat, a pumpkin, a skeleton, a vampire, a witch,

                STEPS FOR SGRAFFITO

1 - PAINT COLORED SURFACE

                                       The golden fish, Paul Klee, 1925

This goldfish is in deep blue water, other little red and purple fishes rather keeping out of his majesty's way. There are tiny ripples in the water all around, and from the lower edge rise some light blue plants of simple form. The goldfish is giving off an inner light, and actually should light up the water, but the water remains dark.

 The  red fins and the red eye heighten the brilliance of the scales.

Autumn leaves with sgrafitto

Una técnica que conocemos como esgrafiado: su origen latino ya nos dice ex(fuera) y grapheirn(dibujo)                           Lo primero que hay que hacer es preparar esa primera capa con los colores que desees que sobresalgan.                     Luego se cubre otra capa con otro color diferente. 

 Lo que ahora toca es con la parte dura de un pincel u otro elemento punzante rascar el dibujo haciendo salir a los colores que estaban en esa primera capa.

 First step:  Prepare the  material  :  white cardboard ,  crayons, a pen

Second step: Color the cardboard with autumn colors

Third step: cover with black MANLEY wax crayon.

Fourth step: scratch with a pen the silhouette of a leaf .

What is “sgraffito”?

Sgraffito is a painting technique in which two layers of paint are placed and the artist scrapes off the top layer to reveal the bottom layer.
